Climbing with the Ederid Neo Climbing Harness how thngs have changed looking at my old harness!
I don't know about you but the new harnesses on the market today are simply amazing! We wer climbing last night at Kendal Wall at comparing an old hareness from just a year ago with the Ederid Neo Harness. The buckles are so easy to do up there is no threading back of the tape. Not danger of not buckling the harness correctly. The speed with which you can put on your harness and be ready to get on the route! Which was needed as the wall was packed!
The Harness itself haw amazing thin the Belay loop is these days. For old boys like myself it's a little unnerving to look at this skinny little loop and not think it's strong enough, when in reality it is probably stronger than the old harnesses fat one. A bit like having to let go on a climbing fall arrester it feels completely wrong but is very very safe.
The Quality of the Neo is great I climbed in both harnesses my old one and the Neo and I have to admit the Neo was as if not more comfortable than my existing 4 year old harness The loops were in the right place on the left and rigght and they have inner notches making your quick draws sit in just the right place making it really easy to pick get them off your harness and place.
I have big legs and the leg loops were fine. It's a wall/ summer harness so there are no buckles but they got round my legs and fitted snugly. There is a Ederid LILOU Climbing harness for female climbers. The leg loops on this harness are different so they fit the ladies form.
I'm really impressed with the harness and would recommend it to any new wall climber or in fact a seasoned climber too, althought I 'm going to take a look at the LOOPO Climbing harness as this is a sport climbing harness!
